(October 28, 2022)—Hard to watch, the last few days witnessed a most spineless spectacle of the whimpered conscience of the Congressional so-called Progressive Caucus and its precipitous fall from timid-but-welcome, to tamed-and-pathetic, and finally to an utterly collapsed opposition to thermonuclear war, ultimately even degenerating to a brazen advocacy for such an Armageddon extinction event of mankind.
On the 24th of October, the caucus chair Rep. Pramila Jayapal (though with less than half of her clique signing on) flirted with a brief bout of sanity, publishing an open letter to puh-puh-President Biden, warning of “the catastrophic possibilities of nuclear escalation and miscalculation” and urging him “to make vigorous diplomatic efforts in support of a negotiated settlement and ceasefire….” Particularly promising (yet incomplete and toothless as it was) was the interest to “explore prospects for a new European security arrangement acceptable to all parties….” The letter even, though understated, acknowledged the context of the growing crisis of inflation and world hunger.
Within hours, the war party cracked the whip and, through the Biden administration’s National Security Council spokesman John Kirby, pretended that the Anglosphere’s lapdog “Mr. Zelenskyy gets to determine…what success looks like and when to negotiate,” even though the letter clearly stated the “responsibility for the United States to seriously explore all possible avenues, including direct engagement with Russia, to reduce harm and support Ukraine in achieving a peaceful settlement.”
That same day, Rep. Jayapal was ruthlessly smashed back into line and, submitting to the fake counter argument, ‘clarified’ that though “Diplomacy is an important tool…we support President Biden and his administration’s commitment to nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine.” The final nail in the progressive coffin came the next day, when Rep. Jayapal completely abandoned her call for peace, while unconvincingly blathering on blaming her staff for not vetting and then publishing a document that she claimed was written several months ago, ultimately proving her obedience with bravado, assuming a future “Ukrainian victory.”
Written months ago? A mistake by staffers? Review the recent weeks leading into this disgraceful submission: activists for Diane Sare’s senate campaign in New York were relentlessly intervening on the faux progressives, warning of the reality of the unprecedented threat to the existence of mankind, the nightmarish potential for mutual destruction through a general thermonuclear exchange. Take the case of webcam politician AOC, who received a “rude” awakening at a town hall meeting just weeks before by youth Sare staffers Kynan Thistlethwaite and Jose Vega; she and others continue to suffer the reality of growing public opposition to the war insanity. She signed the letter; she backed down.
Since the actual cause of this war danger is the ongoing collapse of the West’s financial and economic system, sanity must be interjected into the Spectrum News’ New York debate for the US Senate race on October 30 which, so far, only includes Chucky Doll Schumer and Joe ‘No’ Pinion, the war squawking Tweedledee and Tweedledum. (Also, one wonders what kind words of encouragement, which of the “six ways from Sunday” might have been visited upon the progressives, courtesy of Senate Majority Leader, Intelligence Committee Chair Schumer.)
If the public presses for Diane Sare’s inclusion, she will no doubt reiterate the peace solution of Helga Zepp-LaRouche’s proposal for a new global security architecture, safeguarding the security concerns of all nations, especially cemented by an actually progressive, physical economic development program. The entire situation is quite clearly explained by candidate Sare in a recent interview on One America News Network as well as in yesterday’s Sare appearance on RT News—a clarity which America’s supposedly fair and unbiased media seem to be hysterically censoring.
